It was my first day as an intern in a general hospital when I was assigned to assist in an endoscopy.  As first timers always do, I was so ignorant and had not realized the use of endoscopic instruments.  Then after the doctor had inserted the endoscope and had a visual on the television inside the room, I was so amazed at what I have seen.  With that little instrument in place, I can clearly distinguish the internal organs of the body which I had only seen on textbooks and other reading materials.  It was a one of a kind experience although it’s a different world out there.
